The Bandit comes in 3 deck configurations. The original (above) with a lower front deck towards the nose is good in most conditions and excellent in strong side winds. The low deck is also now available with a longer keyhole cockpit for faster transitions.

The big deck (below) was made for paddlers that were taking on the skis in ocean races to help the bow lift out of the swell. It also proved popular with paddlers in white water and into heavy chop.

The Time Traveller’s narrow front deck encourages a comfortable & efficient paddling style and its larger cockpit opening helps with speedy transitions.

Spectrum K1

Designed by Jan Horak from Spectrum, this is a very fast kayak suitable for serious sprint and marathon paddlers.

The transom stern is the secret to this kayak’s ability to be both fast and easy to paddle. The transom increases the buoyancy in the back half of the kayak which maintains the correct trim at full speed allowing the kayak to be efficient at all speeds and gain a higher maximum speed.

The kayak can be more stable without affecting the optimum length to width ratio.

Underslung or trailing rudder.

Tiller bar or pedal steering.

High Deck Wizard

Length 5.2 metres Width 51 cm : Cockpit Standard.

Weight 10 kg – 13 kg depending on construction

The Wizard is highly successful boat in the K1 class and has had several overall wins in the Avon Descent.

The hull shape of the Wizard is inspired by the Avenger MK1 Downriver Racer.

The main difference being the Wizard is 0.7m longer and narrower. Good stability and high volume make the Wizard a magic in the rough stuff.

Avenger (Wild Water)

Length 4.5 metres Width 60 cm : Cockpit Standard.

Weight 9.5 kg – 12 kg depending on construction

The MV Avenger is the last in the series designed by multi Australian Wild Water champion Steve Muir and hull designer Jan Horak.

The bow is fuller than the MKII for faster lift in big wave and the stern is straighter to help with tracking.

Over all it is a stable and predictable kayak in all conditions. Like all Avengers it excels in shallow water.

Wild Water kayaks have no rudder.
